THE HISTORY OF SUTADON-YA

Founded in Tokyo in 1971, Sutadon-Ya has become a hot topic in Japan and around the world. The 'Legendary Sutadon-ya' is now opening its first store in Malaysia, featuring our 'traditional garlic rice,' which has been popular in Japan for over 40 years. Get the vitality you need for tomorrow!

WHAT IS SUTADON?

“Stamina Rice" known as "Sutadon" in Japan, features juicy and tender pork belly cooked with a special garlic sauce. Our pork belly is mixed, stir-fried, and then served in a bowl over a bed of warm rice. Our Sutamina bowl will keep you full and energized!

Originally, we were a Ramen restaurant founded in Tokyo in 1971. Our founder was inspired by the goal of serving affordable yet filling food to the youth. Through trial and error, the Sutadon began to develop. Initially, it was a meal favored by salarymen but soon became a local favorite. Word spread, and the Sutadon bowl, sold at Ramen restaurants, began to outperform other menu items. Eventually, our founder opened his own shops, known as "The Legendary Sutadon-Ya," which made the Sutadon its specialty.

"The Legendary Sutadonya" is a Japanese restaurant that has been passed down for over 40 years, spreading Niku Meshi (meat and rice) to the world and becoming the world’s "Japanese Energizer." We aim to provide energy to people and help Japanese Stamina cuisine take root in different cultures.
